Sunday Worship
8:00 am – Gillson Park Beach (ordinarily Father’s Day – Labor Day Sunday).
This is a casual, come-as-you-are communion service along the shores of Lake Michigan surrounded by God’s creation. Bring a chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in our Chapel.
10:00 am – Sanctuary (Year-round)
Every Sunday we gather to sing, pray, read scripture and listen to the proclamation of the word. This vibrant service is led by our pastoral staff, a lay liturgist and one or more of our music groups. Hymns are accompanied by organ, piano, and occasionally guitar. Children from pre-school through 4th grade begin worship with their families before heading to “Children’s Chapel” with their leaders. Childcare is available for infants and toddlers in our nursery. This morning service is also live-streamed via YouTube.
11:00 am – Fellowship Hour follows 10:00 worship in the Lounge. We gather for refreshments while we connect with friends old and new. Guests are most welcome! This is a wonderful chance to get to know each other. In the summer, weather permitting, we enjoy lemonade on the lawn in the Fellowship Garden.
Holy Communion – We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
Baptism – Baptisms of infants, older children, youth and adults may take place throughout the year and can be arranged with one of the pastors.
Special Services – Throughout the year, we hold worship services on different dates and times to celebrate Advent, Easter, First Festival, and more. On Christmas Eve, we normally hold two worship services, at 4pm and 9pm. On Easter Sunday, we normally hold two worship services, at 9am and 11am.
