Are you interested in learning more about membership with our church?
Have you been attending services for months or maybe years but have never joined? Or maybe you’ve just started to attend services but know it’s the church for you.
The First Pres Membership Committee has planned opportunities for visitors to learn more about the church and how they can grow in their faith along with us by becoming members. Our New Member’s Explorations classes typically meet in spring and fall each year. The classes include discussions on Presbyterian beliefs and history, our relationship with Christ, the Mission and Values of First Pres, and how you can become more involved in the life of the church.
Should you decide to join the church following attending a class, you would be received into membership during a worship service soon after the class. If you are transferring membership from another church, we would assist in that process. About a month after you have joined we will offer a fellowship event for all new members following an evening worship service so you can get to know one another better, as well as meet some key church members.
