First Pres is a place where students can live out Jesus’ commandment to love God and one another. All are welcomed and loved as part of our faith community. As the body of Christ, each person has a unique and important gift to share with us. Youth of all ages will find a fun and welcoming community where students can worship, serve, and grow in faith together.

5th and 6th Graders are invited to join as participants or leader-helpers at fall-spring programs of Mid-Week Meet-Up and Children’s Chapel and July’s Mid-Summer Meet-Up. Additional leadership programs are being developed to offer this age group opportunities to lead in worship and for special mission projects. New Fellowship gatherings will be offered in summer 2022 around a bonfire, with dinner, following the Mid-Summer Meet-up program in July.

7th & 8th Graders are invited to join the Confirmation Youth Group, meeting fall-spring, which will include activities, fellowship, and discussion to help dive into the meaning of our faith and how faith applies to our lives. 8th-grade students will have additional opportunities to reflect on their desire and readiness to be confirmed as active members of the church. New service and mission projects are being developed for the Summer along with an invitation to gather around a bonfire, with dinner, following the Mid-Summer Meet-up program in July.

Tower Senior High Youth – 9th-12th Graders

High school students are invited to be a part of Tower – a welcoming, inclusive, and fun community. Tower youth meet on a weekly basis, fall-spring, for a time of fellowship, faith, and fun. Tower gatherings help each of us grow deeper in our relationship with God and one another. Tower youth share their gifts and experiences through biblically-based discussion, games, and of course food!

Tower Senior High begins on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 11:00 am in WMFC for registration and orientation.

Tower – Summer Bonfires gatherings for fellowship around the fire are offered on several Wednesdays June-August at 7pm in the Churchyard. These bonfires are the model for our new summer offering for 5th-8th graders.

Tower Summer Work Trip Students choose a site each year for a week-long mission trip. This annual trip is a great way for students to connect, serve, and grow in their faith. Upon their return, Tower Youth lead us in a special worship in which they share and reflect on their week. Past work trips have included visits to Tennessee, West Virginia, South Dakota, Louisiana, and Kentucky.  The 2021 work trip was spent in Hazard, Kentucky building an affordable home.   See what the local news had to say about our group of high school youth.  Tower will be in Ronceverte, West Virginia for Work Trip 2022 providing critically needed home repairs for individuals and a local women’s shelter in coordination with Ronceverte Presbyterian Church.
