Worship is at the center of our life, mission and ministry. Whether gathering for weekly Sunday worship or special services, we are rooted in the Presbyterian reformed tradition, enhanced by the creative and inspiring musical and artistic gifts of our congregation.
8:00 a.m. – Gillson Park Beach (Father’s Day – Labor Day Sunday). This is a casual, come-as-you-are communion service along the shores of Lake Michigan surrounded by God’s creation. Bring a chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in our Chapel.
10:00 a.m. – Sanctuary. Every Sunday we gather to sing, pray, read scripture and listen to the proclamation of the word. This vibrant service is led by our pastoral staff, a lay liturgist and one or more of our music groups. Hymns are accompanied on organ, piano and occasionally guitar. Children from pre-school through 4th grade begin worship with their families. Before going to their Sunday School classes, children gather on the chancel steps for a “Time With Young Disciples”. Childcare is available for infants and toddlers in our nursery.
11:15 a.m. – Fellowship Hour follows 10:00 worship in the Wallace Moore Fellowship Center located on the Lower Level. We gather for refreshments while we connect with friends old and new. Guests are most welcome! This is a wonderful chance to get to know each other. In the summer, weather permitting, we enjoy lemonade on the lawn in the Fellowship Garden.
Holy Communion – We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
Baptism – Baptisms of infants, older children, youth and adults takes place throughout the year and is arranged with one of the pastors. For more information, contact Rev. Erin Raska.
